Environment Canada has let the hydraulic fracturing industry know that it wants more details on fluids used in the extraction process. The request came in a series of letters between Environment Canada and the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers. As this Edmonton Journal article reports, CAPP has a voluntary disclosure program, but Environment Canada would like to work towards something more detailed.
