Very little lead in river near oilsands: lab

Water from the Athabasca River near the Alberta oilsands does not show increased levels of lead, according to preliminary results of research from the University of Alberta. As explained in this Metro News article, the testing in this study focussed on contaminants that were dissolved in water, not contaminants found on particles suspended in the water. Further results from this study will be released in the coming weeks.
