At the Foothills Research Institute's caribou workshop, held on January 12 - 13, 2012, Dr. Stan Boutin of the University of Alberta presented a compelling case about the state of caribou recovery in Alberta. In Dr. Boutin's view, the research provides enough evidence to point government and industry in the direction of actions that could plausibly be used for caribou recovery.
