Video - Update on the Bow River Basin Council, WPAC Summit 2012

Mike Kelly, Chair of the Bow River Basin Council, had several items to report to the 2012 WPAC Summit.

Challenges: data and data access is a huge issue and cost.

Successes: The partnerships the Bow River Basin Council has with other groups has led to a great deal of high quality work.

1. Lower Basin Watershed Management Plan, Phase 2 has just been completed and implementation team is at work. Phase 1 plan has adopted by the Calgary Municipal Plan. 
2. Web-based state of the watershed report is  in process.
3. Quarterly information forums are well attended including watershed stewardship groups.
4. Partnership in funding extends our work.
5. Youth committee in formation. Connections with other Councils is important as well.
6. Great Staff.
