The first stage in Watershed Management Planning includes assessing the nature and status of the watershed, identify issues and implement actions. He explains that the overall health of the Sturgeon River Watershed is assessed as fair, and discusses the health of the watershed, and cumulative impacts such as a high population growth rate and increased recreational use.
This presentation was a part of the Sturgeon River Watershed Forum. It was presented by the North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance and Sturgeon River Watershed Alliance in September of 2015.
