Andy Hurly, Vice Chair, of the Oldman Watershed Council updated the 2012 WPAC Summit, held in Milk River in September, on their group's successes, opportunities and challenges.
- Successes: very active teams working on a variety of issues have brought knowledge and other partnerships to the watershed management plan, vision, risks, priorities and headwater plan.
- Opportunity: connect with the South Saskatchewan Regional Plan and leverage community networks.
- Challenges: tradeoffs around what to do. Access to data is the biggest challenge (e.g. forestry and well water data from the Government of Alberta)
