Les Gammie, President for the North Saskatchewan Watershed Alliance, provided an update on the integrated watershed management plan (IWMP) approved in May, 2012. His presentation was at the NSWA AGM, June 20, 2012. The consultative process of developing the plan is described.
This has been a key piece of work for the NSWA and serves as advice to both proviancial and municipal governments as well as other stakeholders as they do watershed planning. Les Gammie also outlined the implementation process and support NSWA will provide for implementation.
The Atlas for the North Saskatchewan River was announced, fresh from the printer.
