Marilou Montemayor, Watershed Science Coordinator with the Athbasca Watershed Council, presented highlights from the past year at the WPAC Summit in Milk River.
Among the highlights are the State of the Watershed Phase 2 report and the on-line Interactive Atlas and website completed last year. A surface water quality and quantity report is the focus for this year.
Opportunities: they are looking for funding for a Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) report. Limited core funding and the timing of its release remain major challenges.
