Harry Keess, Program Manager with the Beaver River Watershed Alliance, identified their biggest success as the "State of the Watershed" report with open houses through the summer to review their fifth draft. They hope to be done in 2013.
Work on the Beaver River Watershed Management Plan is underway with technical teams beginning their work. A groundwater study has helped connect with the large number of rural landowners concerned about their wells.
Opportunities: the Lower Athabasca Regional Plan will help frame the watershed management planning work.
