The AAMDC in partnership with the Miistakis Institute and the County of Newell is hosting an education session on January 23, 2018. The purpose of this event is to provide municipal decision makers with information regarding the renewable energy approvals process for large scale wind and solar proposals.
This all-day event will provide presentations from renewable energy regulators, Q&A opportunities, a municipal lessons’ learned session, and end with an optional site tour of a newly commissioned solar facility. To support this event, the AAMDC and the Miistakis Institute have partnered to create two renewable energy factsheets specifically for municipalities. These fact sheets are available here:
Renewable Energy Development in Alberta: Regulatory Resources for Municipalities
Renewable Energy Development in Alberta: Ecological Fact Sheet for Municipalites
