Alberta Municipal Affairs is hosting workshops on Intermunicipal Collaboration Frameworks (ICFs) and Intermunicipal Development Plans (IDPs) in in various locations throughout Alberta over the next few months. The following dates and locations have been confirmed, with venues and RSVP information to be updated regularly:
- February 20, 2018 – Grande Prairie
- March 8 – MD of Foothills
- March 14 – Lethbridge County
- March 16 – County of Newell
- April 11 – Athabasca County
- April 13 – Red Deer County
- April 26 – Town of St. Paul
The workshops are designed to provide the opportunity for representatives of bordering municipalities to work directly together and jointly assess what work and strategic approach is needed to complete their ICFs and IDPs by April 1, 2020.
Mayors/Reeves and CAOs from each municipality are invited to attend, along with the Mayors and CAOs of bordering municipality/municipalities, to ensure you attend the same workshop and start this important work together.
