A collared grizzly bear - part of the research done through the fRI Research Grizzly Bear Program - was killed by poachers in May of this year. Two men have been charged in the incident. As this Global News report explains, the bear was originally collared in Jasper National Park, and made its way to the Edson area before being killed.
