A 2012 report commissioned by the province and the City of Calgary described what a 1 in 100 year flood might look like in southern Alberta. The report, prepared by Golder Associates Ltd, correctly predicted some of the facilities and communities at risk. As this CBC News article explains, the report was used internally for emergency planning, but was not released to the public.
