Alberta aboriginal rock etchings defaced with drill, power washer, acid

The National Post reports that ancient aboriginal pictograms and petroglyphs found on a glacial rock near Pincher Creek were obliterated before historians could photograph and study them. Experts from Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump and the Red Deer Museum describe the discovery, and express their disgust at the deliberate destruction of the historical site. Neither motive nor suspects have been discovered.
