Alberta landowners lose fight against Heartland decision

Landowners opposed to the proposed Heartland transmission line had their case rejected by the Alberta Court of Appeal this week. As explained in this Edmonton Journal article, the landowners had argued that the project had been approved without a cost-benefit analysis, but the Court ruled that the Alberta Utilities Commission didn't have that responsibility.
