Alberta is rich, but not its towns and cities

Some Alberta couties are receiving the lion's share of industrial taxes from oil and gas development, leaving towns and citiies short of funds for large infrastructure projects to support growth. This, according to a column in the Edmonton Journal, is leading to Alberta communities not having enough funding to pay for projects they need to accomodate the population and traffic working in oil and gas. It is suggested that the province look at ways of allocating taxes differently to make it more equitable.
