Are you interested in enhancing your land’s habitat value for wildlife such as pollinators? Reducing wind-stress on your crops, livestock, or farm-site? Trapping snow where you want it to be trapped? Making your land more resilient to flooding and droughts?
Luke Wonneck with the Agroforestry Woodlot Extension Society (AWES) will join Red Deer County to host this workshop, aimed at helping participants create their own Eco-Buffer or shelterbelt design, site prep plan and customized management plan.
Available resources and funding opportunities to help with establishing Eco-Buffers and shelterbelts will also be discussed. You will leave with your own plan of action for your Eco-Buffer or shelterbelt!
