Officials with Banff National Park are holding their annual planning forum November 9th and hope to develop plans for reducing the number of visitor/wildlife conflicts, more than 1000 of which have already been recorded for 2012. As explained in this Calgary Herald article, many of the incidents have been the results of uninformed visitors trying to interact with wildlife, leading officials to look for ways to increase wildlife awareness amongst visitors.
