The town of Banff is hoping to avoid an explosion of the local rabbit population - like that seen in neighbouring Canmore - by setting live traps to deal with the rabbits currently around the area. As explained in this Edmonton Journal article, only a few rabbit sightings have been reported in Banff to date. Canmore is dealing with an estimated 2000 rabbits in the community.
