BC company hired to stop spread of pine beetles in Saskatchewan

The government of Saskatchewan has hired a BC company to work in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park in an effort to halt the eastward spread of the mountain pine beetle.  As described in this story from The Province,  the BC contractors will spend 3 years removing infested trees. Research has shown that the beetles can make the leap from lodgepole pine to jack pine, increasing the chance of eastward spread.
