Researchers from the University of Alberta's Departments of Renewable Resources and Biological Sciences are working towards development of a bait that would help track mountain pine beetle activity in forests. The bait is a pheromone-based compound, under development by Dr. Nadir Erbilgin and Dr. Maya Evenden, as well as several graduate students.
