Biofuel plant at Clover Bar begins testing new equipment

A company called Enerkem is ready to start work on the process of converting waste to ethanol in its plant at the Clover Bar waste management centre in Edmonton. By using this plant, in conjunction with recycling programs, the City of Edmonton will be diverting 90% of household waste from the landfill.  As this Edmonton Journal article explains, Enerkem Alberta Biofuels is set to be producing ethanol for the market by later in 2014.
