New research from a scientist with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) indicates that using biosolids from wastewater can increase soil nutrients for years. As reported by Science Daily, the research showed that phosphorus levels in treated soil remained higher than in untreated soil, even 16 years after the treatment.
