Bold Alberta elk more likely to be shot by hunters, study finds

A recent study from the University of Alberta indicates that elk who show bolder behaviours are more likely to be shot by hunters in Alberta's eastern slopes, according to this story from the Calgary Herald. Researchers fitted elk with satllite-telemetry collars to track their movements, and found that those with bolder, faster movements were more likely to be shot. The results are part of a larger research project looking at elk behaviour and responses to human activities.
