Recent studies indicate that several northern BC caribou herds - with declining populations - regularly use habitat that would be crossed by the proposed Northern Gateway pipeline. As explained in this Globe and Mail article, that leaves management choices that include wolf culls, or reducing the level of development that gets approved.
