New research published in the journal Nature Climate Change looked at the DNA of reindeer and caribou to determine how connected they are, and how they have been affected in the past by environmental changes. As this news item from the University of Calgary indicates, the research suggests that caribou will feel the effects of climate change as their critical habitat starts to disappear.
