Feds launch Colorado project to reduce watershed damage from fires

The Western Watershed Enhancement Partnership agreement between the US departments of Interior and Agriculture is aiming to find ways of reducing the damage to watersheds as a result of wildfires. The project, which will be focussed on the Colorado River and the Big Thompson River, will include forest thinning, prescribed burns, and restoring burned areas. More details on the pilot project can be found in this article from the Denver Business Journal.
