Dr. Fangliang He, a researcher with the University of Alberta's Faculty of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences, is part of a research team releasing findings about the way fragmentation can accelerate extinctions. The findings from a site in Thailand show a similar story to that found elsewhere, including sites in Alberta, where a loss of biodiversity was observed in harvested forest areas.
