Funding program aims to reduce CO2 emissions from agriculture, forestry

The Climate Change and Emissions Management Corporation (CCEMC) has introduced a new program designed to fund projects that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture, forestry and waste management. The program will distribute up to $40 million, according to this Calgary Herald article. Currently, there are several CCEMC-funded research projects in the biological sector, but this is the first time the organization has designated a fund specifically for this type of research. Deadline for funding applications is February 21, 2014.
