Gardens, berry patches and chicken coops all that's likely to survive in Horse Hill

While the goal of preserving 600 acres of farmland in the Horse Hill area is dead, the proposed area plan aims to incorporate existing farmland and food production with residential and commercial development. As described in this Edmonton Journal article, the plan includes commercial development along Fort Road, as well as residential neighbourhoods around the farms that will be preserved. The area structure plan will be available for the public to view at an open house on November 29th.
