The group "Grow Calgary" has started an urban farm on some unused agricultural land near Canada Olympic Park, with the aim of producing vegetables for the Calgary food bank. As this Fast Forward article explains, it is hoped that over time the full eleven acres of land will be used, as well as additional unused land within the city of Calgary.
