Growing Insights: Urban Agriculture & Local Food

The Alberta Land-use Knowledge Network is proud to introduce Growing Insights: a new, innovative online community conversation and learning experience about local food and Urban Agriculture in Alberta. Over four weeks, we will explore the social, economic, policy and technological impacts of local food and urban agriculture in Alberta.
 
It's free to anyone with access to the internet, and we'd love your help in spreading the word. We've included sample text and a graphic we hope you can send out on your e-mail newsletter, contacts and share on your social media channels.
 
How Growing Insights works:
Growing Insights is modeled after online massive open online courses (MOOCs) offered by Harvard and Yale universities. Our goal? To share knowledge and promote connections for those interested in local food.
Once you register, you will receive regular, curated content. Each week has a theme. The articles and videos will challenge your thinking and inspire you to discuss the issues with others online. Topic specialists will moderate the discussion and contribute their insight for further learning. The ideas generated from Growing Insights will be summarized into a report, and help guide future policy discussions at the municipal and provincial levels.
