A team of researchers from the University of Alberta have discovered that elk in southwestern Alberta are disturbed more by human activities than they are by their natural predators. As explained in this article from the Univeristy, the research indicates that the highest disturbance levels were in areas where ATV use and hunting were present. The research was published in the journal PLOS ONE.
