Human instrusion in Alberta forest can help biodiversity, study says

Increasing the human footprint in the boreal forest can help plant biodiversity - to a point.  According to a recent study, as reported by CBC, the presence of cut blocks, roads or other types of development in the boreal forest of northern Alberta is linked to an increased number of plant species found. However, that increased biodiversity stops when development disturbance surpasses half the area.
