Manitoba, Alberta lakes surveyed have high levels of toxin

The CBC reports that a recent survey of lakes across Canada revealed that some have high levels of the toxin microcystin, found in some types of blue-green algae. Central Alberta and southern Manitoba were the two areas with the highest concentrations of the toxin.
