Senior executives of Canadian insurance companies were surveyed recently on the topic of severe flooding, and the results indicate that flood coverage won't be available to Canadian homeowners without new maps showing flood risks. As this CBC News article reports, the CEOs want maps to reflect possible changes in flood risk due to climate change. Overland flood insurance is currently not available to Canadian homeowners.
