Around 350 peope have gathered in Whitehorse, Yukon this week to participate in the 2014 North American Caribou Workshop. The conference, which happens every second year, provides an opportunity for people to learn what's happening with caribou in many different regions. As this CBC News report explains, the theme for this year's conference is "Caribou Conservation and Management: What's Working?". Laura Finnegan, Program Lead with the fRI Caribou Program, will be making a presentation at the conference.
The Alberta Land-use Knowledge Network will provide updates on the conference, and any links to presentations as they become available.
