Obscure and unloved: Federal government spurns a chance to help boost three endangered species

Three endangered species in Canada won't receive protection from the federal government, according to this article from Postmedia News. Although recommended for protection by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC), the government made the decision to not offer additional protection for them. The three species in question are the Coast Manroot, Laura's Clubtail dragonfly, and the Four-leaved Milkweed.
