Orphaned grizzly "Bear 128" survives summer roaming Lake Louise area by himself

Bear 128, a 2 1/2 year old grizzly bear, has survived the summer near Lake Louise, after being orphaned last year. As described in this Calgary Herald article, the bear's mother was killed by a train in 2011, leaving two cubs to fend for themselves. Bear 128 has been spotted in and around the Lake Louise area, and appears to be healthy. The bear was given an ear transmitter this spring by Parks Canada as part of their ongoing project to monitor bear movement around railroad tracks. The fate of Bear 128's sibling isn't known for certain.
