Out of the fire and into the....sandbox? New simulation tool takes some of the heat off of firefighter training

A simulation sand table has been developed for use in providing hands-on training for wildland firefighters in Alberta.  This blog post from Alberta Environment & Sustainable Resource Development describes the tool and how it works to simulate fire situations and develop strategies for deaing with different conditions.
