Results are in from the 2012 mountain pine beetle survey in Alberta, as reported in the Calgary Herald. After evaluating 179 sites in May and June, it appears that numbers are on the decline in areas around Slave Lake, Grande Prairie and Grande Cache, but more beetles are appearing in central Alberta and the Peace River area.
