A project aimed at protecting the Greater Sage-Grouse has been given funding by the federal and provincial governments. Announced today at the Calgary Zoo - and as described in this Environment Canada news release - the funding will help to get the Zoo's new captive breeding and rearing program started. The Greater Sage-Grouse is a Species at Risk in Canada.
