A 2500 hectare area of sensitive grassland in southeastern Alberta is being protected, after being acquired by Ducks Unlimited Calgary. As this Calgary Herald article states, Shell Canada is contributing $3 million towards the purchase of the land. The Marsh family has owned the property for two generations, and is pleased that it will be preserved from development.
