Review finds Alberta pipeline rules not strong enough to protect rivers, lakes

A newly released report on Alberta's pipeline safety regulations indicates that there are many strong components, but some areas for concern. In particular, the review points at gaps in regulation related to pipelines operating near lakes or rivers.
