Similarities in fish deformities seen at different oil spill sites have Dr. David Schindler from the University of Alberta to suggest that there may be a link between crude oil and the deformities. As explained in this Edmonton Journal article, Dr. Schindler has sent a letter to federal Environment Minister Peter Kent asking that Canada lead an investigation into the possible link.
