Southern Alberta land-use plan raises ire of off-road users

Some proposed changes to land-use in southern Alberta are causing concern for some recreational users. As reported in the Calgary Herald, the South Saskatchewan Regional Plan - part of the Government of Alberta's Land-use Framework process - could change access to some sensitive areas and trails in the southern part of the province, restricting access for recreation and other uses. The plan is in the early stages of development with a draft scheduled to be released later this spring.
