The Wabamun Watershed Management Council's report on the state of Wabamun Lake gives the lake an overall condition rating of 'fair'. Keeping phosphorus out of the lake will help to prevent the deterioration of the water, including blue-green algae development. As reported in this Edmonton Journal article, residents attending a public meeting on the report's results heard about things they can do to keep the lake healthy.
