Wildfires projected to get more common, harder to control

University of Alberta researchers say that climate change will likely lead to wildfires becoming more common and more severe in the future. As explained here, the research from the Department of Renewable Resources & the Western Partnership for Wildland Fire Science shows that fires could be three times as severe by the end of the century. The rise in temperature will make forests drier, with no compensating increase in precipitation.
