Wolves filling up on cattle in southwestern Alberta

Cattle make up 45% of the diet of wolves in areas of southwestern Alberta, according to new research. As reported here in the Alberta Farmer Express, a study from the University of Alberta shows that wolves are consuming cattle during the grazing season in the Pincher Creek to Kananaskis corner or southwestern Alberta. The packs that are consuming the cattle may have to be culled, according to researchers. Some packs do not prey on cattle, however, and should be maintained.
