Video - Drywood/Yarrow Conservation Partnership. Presentation at 2012 WPAC Summit

At the 2012 WPAC Summit in Milk River, Dennis Lastuka talks about water stewardship groups and their impact on education and conservation projects in the south west corner of Alberta.

Dennis makes the case that researchers are discovering that stewardship groups are ideal partners in environmental and wildlife research. Partnerships are key in the demonstration projects (off-creek watering, riparian fencing, predator fencing) and education programs that stewardship groups run; Trout Unlimited, Cows and Fish and Alberta Environment & Sustainable Resource Development are key partners.

A deadstock removal program has been a major intiative in order to control predator issues (bears, wolves and coyotes).
